A legend, and an inspiration

Witchblade has been one of my favorite comics since i was little. the art soared off the page, and spoke to me. the artist behind the masterpiece was Michael Turner. Michael Turner has worked with Marvel and DC, as well as with the indie comic company Top Cow. he started Aspen Comics. Michael Turner lost his battle with cancer last week. He will be remembered as one of the most up and coming artists in the comic industry. He will be remembered as one of the true creative minds, and i am sad that we couldn't see everything he had to offer. i find it slightly gratifying that the same week that we lost a truely influential artist, his origninal creation was announced that it would be making it's way on to the silver screen. In 2009, Witchblade will become a full fledged silver screen adaptation.

rest in peace Michael.

Wolverine is gonna be brilliant

So there is a new Wolverine movie coming in 2009, as some of you may already know. i was reading up and trying to learn some info about it, and first of all not only do we have th yummy, yet rugged Hugh Jackman playing the title charachter, but Ryan Reynolds will also be in the film, and (drum roll please) Gambit is going to be in (omg i am sooooo excited!!!) second of all he is played by uber hottie Taylor Kitsch....

here are some shots of Taylor, feel free to drool all over the place, i know i did :)

Super Couture

i found these shots from the Vouge spread on the Fashion Institutes salute to Super Hero's.....

this Poison Ivy shot is amazing.... why couldn't they have done her like that in the movie, Uma Thurman looked like such trash. I wish she could have been the vine wielding amazon we see here.

shame on Joel Schumacher... and he wonders why the film flopped.

Year of a million dreams

i have to admit she has done it again. while i don't agree with every choice she has made with this series. the series itself is truely amazing. At first when i heard that it was Julianne Moore as Ariel, i was a bit nervouse, Ariel is after all a 16 year old. But this Aquatic wonderland they have created is truely a master piece. One of the things i love about this shot is that it isn't a direct interpratation, but it exudes the charachter. i love her hair, it looks so mermaid-esque. She usually does the series in sets of four, so i can't wait to see the other ones that will be joining this masterpiece.

now the real shocker is that these arent for sale... because if they were i would buy everyone (except the Jessica Biel one)
