Oh Katy!

now i want to start this off by saying loud and clear, I LOVE KATY PERRY!!!!!

that being said where did she find this ridonkulous dress???? no seriously who sells that dress, part of me needs it in my life.

your eyes are not deceiving you Ms. Perry is in fact wearing a merry go round dress. Now i usually teeter on the edge of admiration and guilt when i look at Katy's vintage romper airplane covered concotions of joy, but this is either completely brilliant, or completely insane.... i have no idea which one, but this dress only confirms that i NEED to become besties with Katy. Anyone who can wear that and sing at the same time is my favorite new person.

BRAVO Katy Perry! you win this round!

guess who's back... back again

BRITNEY'S BACK!!!!! that is right haters and nay-sayers Lil Miss Britney Spears is on the come back trail (and this time i actually believe it.) Womanizer has been a massive hit, she isn't flashing her Brit-bits in public anymore, and she lost all the weight and is looking slim and trim. i know it's hard to think we would ever have are pop tart back on the road to pop royalty where she belongs, i mean lets be honest, gimme more was a disaster, and add more jokes to the repatoir then it did actually solve anything. But from what i can tell "Circus" is gonna be huge, and well worth the wait. I've heard small bits and pieces of several of the songs, and i am buying what she's selling. I was afraid when i heard it was being called "Circus" that it was going to be a watered down dance pop version of Christina's Back to Basics (which also had a circus theme) and while it's like comparing apples and oranges, all she needed was to do something that had already been done. But the sound is a new fresh sound, and while the title track compares Brits life to a circus with her as the ever in control ring leader the circus vibe stops there. this is Britney 150% personal I'm glad she isn't trying to reinvent the wheel, just her image. And reinvent her image she did! I've personal never really been a fan of Britney's album art, it always seems the same, after sex hair, high glossed, and a bare midriff. But after seeing some shots from the shoot, I am truly impressed. not a midriff in sight, Britney is dressed in head to toe in what seems to be a cross between circus couture, and a porcelain doll. she is wearing baby doll dresses and an assortment of vintage hats, and costume jewelry. Judge for yourself, but I'd say Britney is back

update

Hello!

so it has been way to long since i have written in this blog and i am so sorry that, it took me this long to get settled and back in the swing of things. As many of you know Jer and i took an amazing journey across the country, and we no longer live in new york, we live in sunny northern california. The change and the adjusting has been pretty intense, and life is very different, but I am so excited.

If three years ago you had asked me what i thought i would be doing, and where my life would take me, after getting on the plane to go to school in new york, i probably would have given you ALOT of answers. but i would have been wrong. I never believed in my wildest dreams that in three short years, i would find my soul mate, and settle down with the most wonderful guy in the world, in the perfect apartment with the best puppy ever (that's right i have a puppy, and yes he's cuter then yours!)

life in california has been great, i work alot, but i don't mind. I love my job, working for amercian apparel has been a wonderful experience and journey. Jer and i go to the dog park on week ends and watch Harpo play with other dogs. i am still writing and am working on a few projects, trying to keep motivated, and trying to find new ways to always be able to live the dream i guess.

Jer is teaching at the Delta Academy of the Performing Arts, and i think it is quite possibly the most amazing thing ever. i am so proud of him and so glad that he is getting to be a part of this awesome school, and that i am getting to help him. Everyday he tells me stories about the kids, and i just love it, they are getting such an amazing education and an amazng gift, i wonder if they realize how lucky they are.

well thats all i got as far as an update for now, i am going to be better about updating thank you to everyone who reads this, i miss all of new york, and wish i could bring them to california so we could go to brunch every weekend

A legend, and an inspiration

Witchblade has been one of my favorite comics since i was little. the art soared off the page, and spoke to me. the artist behind the masterpiece was Michael Turner. Michael Turner has worked with Marvel and DC, as well as with the indie comic company Top Cow. he started Aspen Comics. Michael Turner lost his battle with cancer last week. He will be remembered as one of the most up and coming artists in the comic industry. He will be remembered as one of the true creative minds, and i am sad that we couldn't see everything he had to offer. i find it slightly gratifying that the same week that we lost a truely influential artist, his origninal creation was announced that it would be making it's way on to the silver screen. In 2009, Witchblade will become a full fledged silver screen adaptation.

rest in peace Michael.

Super Couture

i found these shots from the Vouge spread on the Fashion Institutes salute to Super Hero's.....

this Poison Ivy shot is amazing.... why couldn't they have done her like that in the movie, Uma Thurman looked like such trash. I wish she could have been the vine wielding amazon we see here.

shame on Joel Schumacher... and he wonders why the film flopped.
