i'm not on a soap box, this is my life

hey everyone,

i rarely get political or emotional, but this is really important to me and personal to me. my friend steven sent me this, and i think it's a great message. People sometimes don't realize that what you say effects how other people think, and what other people do. i could never imagine having to deal with something of this nature, but i know what hate feels like, and i know how deeply words can hurt, and how the death of a child effects a family.

please watch this video, and think about what you say next time you make a joke in front of a child, or make someone a punch line because of who they are, or the color of their skin

- Cher said Tina Turner was a hero of hers since she was 16, so how old would that have made Tina?
- Did Beyonce take out her weave?
- Did tina turner buy her outfit at American Apparel?

- apparrently Beyonce took out her weave, and Carrie Underwood decided to wear a wig

- When did Aretha blow up to the size of a school bus
- and why god why, did she wear that much YELLOW

- Was Alicia Key's hair inspired by a regect from Star Wars?
- and if so, where was her light saber?

Ready to get Carried away?

So Sex and the City is upon us... and i for one am ready. let's just say i am in desperate need of some good old fashioned sex. while several have tried to replace it (Gossip Girl, Cashmere Mafia, Lipstick Jungle) none can really truely compare. Carrie for me has been a fashion icon, as well as an inspiration. Her bold choices always made me smile, and she made me think hey maybe i can pull something outrageous off.... I think everyone has a little Carrie Bradshaw inside them just waiting to burst out, i know i do. In fact my boyfriend teases me and says that i like to imagine i'm Carrie, sipping my martini and writing in my blog... and maybe a part of me does. i know one thing is for sure, i am not gonna wait another minute to see SATC, that is opening night for me, and i will be dressed to impress in my most shocking fantastic fashions. I can feel it in my bones this is gonna be a pretty glamerous event. In all honesty, i am probably gonna buy all new clothes just for the evening, as well as convince all my friends to dress equally glamerously. Because ,lets face it that's how we roll, and i wouldn't want it any other way.

Madeline <3 Tomo

so only two more days till we unveil the first official Little Tomato Valentine! i'm pretty jazzed. I hope everyone loves and embraces Madeline. I am already over the moon for her, and she (like tomo) is going to become a Little Tomato staple. the Valentine is going to be available Feb 1st, just in time for the big day, so make sure to order lots so you have them to give to all your loved ones :)
