Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket

You know when i said I knew little about love? That wasn't true, I know alot about love. I've seen it, centuries and centuries of it. And it was the only thing that made watching your world bearable. All those wars. Pain. Lies. Hate... It made me want to turn away and never look down again. But when I see the way mankind love... You could search the far reaches of the universe and never find anything more beautifull. So yes I know that love is unconditional, but I also know that it can be unpredictable, unexpected, uncontrollable, and unbearable, and strangely easy to mistake for loathing, and... What I am trying to say is... I think i love you.

Is this love? I never imagined I'd know it for myself. My heart... It feels like my chest can barely contain it. Like it's trying to escape because it doesn't belong to me anymore. It belongs to you. And if you wanted it. I'd wish for nothing in exchange - no gifts. No goods. No demonstartions of devotion. Nothing but knowing that you loved me too. Just your heart in exchange for mine.

------------------------------------------------

I was going to write a review of the film, but i think this piece speaks more volumes about the films message then i ever could. This is from the end of the film, and Claire Danes's delivery gave me chills down my spine. I think that this speech best desccribes the way one feels when one is truely in love.

It's Alive!!!!

To me it seems like we are headed for a pretty strong year on Broadway. Right now in Seattle they are doing the out of town try-outs for Mel Brook's Young Frankensein, which truth be told was and still is one of my favorite movies. It has an all star cast attatched to it. Leading the way is Roger Bart (in the title role) he is followed by Megan Mullally, Sutton Foster, Andrea Martin, Shuler Hensley, Christopher Fitzgerald and Fred Applegate. This is probably one of the most anticipated musicals of the year, followed very closely by The Little Mermaid. I've been following the show a bit, although i will admit i am a bit sad, Mullally's part was originally going to be played by Broadway Diva Kristin Chenoweth, which would have been fierce, and Mullally was linked to The Little Mermaid, playing Ursela, which would have also been fierce. But we shall see, it seems the gods of the theatre had other ideas. Young Frankenstien opens at the Hilton Theatre on November 8th. November is going to be an expensive month for me.

Kiss The Girl

This is another production shot from the broadway bound production of "The Little Mermaid ". It's of Ariel (Sierra Boggess) and Eric (Sean Palmer) during "Kiss the Girl". Once again i would justl like to state how nervouse i am about this show, it could either be a Lion King-esque triumph, or a Tarzan like disaster. From the reviews i have read everything sounds good, and i am sure Disney has spared no expense on the production, so it will be lavish. I am most curious about Sherri Rene Scott's portrayal of Ursela, who is my favorite Disney villain, and sings one of my all time favorite Disney songs. I love Sherri Rene Scott. She was my favorite part of Aida, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and she breaks my heart in the last 5 Years. I just don't know if i see her as Ursela, I've been trying to find a picture of her in costume... but so far I've got nothing.

Marty Thomas's Birthday at Duplex

Friday was Marty Thomas's Birthday at Duplex, which has secretly become my new favorite place to go. It was soo much fun, there were balloons everywhere, and all the tables had candy and plastic rings, and those party poppers on them. Marty had also left out playdough for everyone to make him things, and i was gonna make him a little Marty, but there was no yellow playdough at my table, so instead i improvised and decided he would be a cheap date (he doesn't eat, drink, talk, or think, and he'll still go home with you.) marty wasn't quite as amused by it as i was, but he did really like it, ah well swing and a miss. The party was planet unicorned themed, and it was pretty fierce. Planet Unicorn is amazing, if you don't know what it is, go to you tube and watch it. it is a cartoon, who's animation is rivaled only by south park. the theme song is possibly the best part. Marty sang his "Dance Remix" it was pretty hardcore. Marty, Brian Nash, and Kate Pazakis are three of the most talented individuals i have ever met... like seriously. When the three of them perform together it is amazing, with their powers combined they are captain planet. They sang a cutting from Jerry Springer the opera, it was amazing. Kate, and Marty also did Diva tag, which someday i WILL do. It's possibly my favorite thing in the world to watch. I think secretly Marty is a big soulfull black woman (and we all know how i feel about a big soulfull black woman) he sang "i'm here" from the Color Puprle, and we all know how i feel about that song. As we know Fantasia Barrino, of American Idol fame, is currently playing the role on broadway, Marty Thomas does the best Fantasia impression i have ever seen, hands down, the best. All in all, the evening was absoloutly amazing.i had the best time in the world celebrating the birthday of one of my friends.

Part of your World

so finally my prayers and pleas have been answered and they released the first publicity shot of Sierra Boggess in costume for the up-coming broadway production of Disney's the Little Mermaid. I will admit when ever people try to re-invent my childhood, i get really really scared. I have heard so many different things about this production, and the visual aspects of it have been kept very quiet. almost no pictures have been released until now. But i am at ease. That is most definatly my childhood heroine personofied. I am seriously sooooo excited November 3rd can't come any faster.

Legally Blonde

So i constantly praise "Legally Blonde" the musical as being amazing, and if you don't believe me here is a clip so you can see for yourself. This is "Omi God" the opening number in the show. It's pretty spectacular. Laura Bell Bundy is off the hook in this. Please check the show out, buy the cd, it's awesome.

I am not a plastic bag!

So i'm not super green, but i do try to do my part. I never use plastic bags if i can, and i always recycle magazines, and i wear things out of the store if i can, or i just try to put them in a bag i allready have. So i am always on the look out for awesome canvas bags. Because honestly, i can't use the same bag for every occasion. So i am always on the look out for cute fun bags, i can use as a shopping bag. The other day i was in Roger and David's, and i found the cutest little canvas bag for only 9.99! perfect shopping bag price! it's light weight, and totally usefull. So far i love my bag, if you are green like me, stop by Roger and David's and pick one up.

Rain was made for kissing

So i live my life in a movie. I have an amazing score, and it's extremely dramatic. The supporting cast is fab, Meryl Streepe is gonna make a cameo, it's gonna be off the hook. Patricia Fields is gonna be my costume designer. i'm gonna look hot. The most important part of the movie though, is gonna be my screen kiss. The on screen kiss between the star and his loved one is the most important kiss of all. I imagine it to be a little like the kiss at the end of Breakfast at Tiffany's, actually in truth i imagine most of my life to be like an Audrey Hepburn film. High Fashion, high class, and with amazing song and dance numbers. But the kiss will defiantly be like that. Preferably after a heart wrenching fight, i will run into the rain. Only to be followed by the love of my life, who is also fashionably dressed. He will chase after me in the rain, and stop me, and then pull me close to him, and we will kiss. And it will be fierce. Trust me when i say it always happens just like that. Kissing in the rain is seriously the most amazing. it may not happen exactly like the movie in my head, but it's just as magical. i plan on doing it pretty often.

Betcha Bottom Dollar

so monday night rolls around, and i find myself in the same place that i go every monday. The Splash Bar for Musical Mondays, followed by Curtain Call, with my amazing boyfriend, and his friends. It really has become a kind of habit, and i don't mind. I actually love it. Jeremy's friends are amazing. they truely are a wonderful bunch. Musical Mondays is possibly the gayest night of the week at Splash, but i really enjoy it. They play musical clips from movies, concerts, and tony award performances. It's really quite amazing. This monday was especially fun... i don't actually know what made it extra special, but it felt like it was. Jeremy straightened his hair this week and it was especialy cute. i could not keep my hands off of him. While we we're watching, i saw this guy, and i was like "that looks just like my friend Kevin" and then i realized it WAS my friend Kevin, who i hadn't seen in like 12 years. It was crazy, He was like "what are you doing here?" and i was like "i've been in New York for like two years." We caught up for a bit, and i introduced him to Jeremy, and he introduced me to several of his friends. It was very cool. The performer was Natalie Joy Johnson, of Legally Blonde fame, who was amazing. Her theme for the night was parts she'll be cast as in thirty years. She was truely awesome. Scott Nevins hosts, and he was hysterical, as usual. This week they gave away tickets to the Pupini Sisters, as well as their Cd (Betcha Bottom Dollar). I got one of the cds, they are freakin sweet. They are a girl group that sing big band style harmonies. Please go out and get their cd, support talented performers. All and all it was an amazing night.

Stand under my umbrella

this video is why i love Mandy Moore. Mandy moore has been saying since 2000 that she apologizes for the utter trash that was her debut album, and will give any fan their money back. Mandy's signature song, no matter how much the young artist protests, will always be the song that made her a hit; Candy. At fifteen Mandy sang that first single, and she's been trying to block it out ever since. She helped to shed her image with some surprising indie film roles, like "Saved", and "A Walk to Remember" (in which she famously had dark hair). In the last year Mandy has tried to get even further from her bubblegum image, starring in adult comedies like Because I said So, Liscense to Wed, and Dedication, as well as releasing her first studio album since 2003. Mandy's new album "Wild Hope" is basically amazing. She has co-written every single folk-esque track on the album, songs like "nothing that you are" and "latest mistake" make me want to mend all broken hearts, and "can't you just adore her" makes me want to call certain individuals and tell them how much i love them. The album is about as different from candy as you could possibly get. But it seems that no matter what She does, poor Mandy can't get away from "Candy". When requested she declines saying she doesn't even know the song anymore. Finally Mandy gave her fans what they wanted, and did a slightly different orchestration of her old hit. Totally stripped of all fluff, she sings "Candy", and does in fact forget the words, but she finishes the song, in her way, and her style. It is actually a descent song. What i love about this is it is another instance of Mandy taking controll of something, instead of it taking controll of her. She now owns that song, instead of the other way around. In another odd turn of events, She has covered her own version of the summer hit "Umbrella". now i personally would never compare Rihanna and Mandy Moore, but for me, both versions are quite enjoyable. Mandy even goes so far as to include Rihanna's video of the hit in her own music video... honestly i see it as being pure genius.

if you haven't heard Wild Hope, go listen to it.

New Hope

Subway at seven am - 2.00
Magazine and soda - 5.00
Bus to New Hope PA - 17.50
Danish and Cookie at a Pit stop - 3.50
Ticket to Thoroughly Modern Millie - 19.00
Getting to see one of my best friends in his element - priceless

this last weekend i went to see the closing performance of Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Bucks County Performing Arts Center in New Hope, PA. Why you might ask did i drag my cookies all the way to New Hope? For a friend. Probably one of my best friends. Robert has been in PA for the last three monthes performing summer stock, and while it would hav been nice to see more of the shows, time and money has only permitted me to catch this one. I think i caught the best one, honestly, i forget what an awesome dancer he is till i see him dance. He has a rare quality, one which is missing in my dancing, of being totally at ease. When i watch him tap, the look on his face says he could be doing anything and it would be just as easy. I can't tap to save my life. I am so proud of him, i don't know if i could have survived three monthes in the middle of no where. But he's done it, and is still doing it, he has three more weeks in PA before it's back to the big city. I'm really glad i went, because i was considering not going all the way up till the morning of, and i'm glad i went, i know in the end i would have regreted missing it.

Sometimes I wish my life was a Nicholas Spark's book

I read this and i made me smile, but it also made me a sloppy mess. i don't know who said it, but it makes my heart facsimillie tick a little louder

as i turn to you when i am old and gray,
sitting in a rocking chair on my front porch
hearing nothing but the soft breeze
and the calm creak of wood against wood,
i want more than anything
to be able to turn to you,
take your hand in mine
and look into the face
of the one i fell in love with years ago,
i love you

Hollywood Glamor Queen

This month Christina is featured in the UK edition of In Style, which i just happened to snap up from a news stand today while on my lunch. I love Christina. Her style is so bold and amazing, my favorite thing about her is how unwilling she is about being caught being sloppy. She always has every hair in place, her lips perfectly lined, her outfit carefully chosen. I love that. To me that kind of dedication is amazing. One of the things i look at when choosing my style icons, is are they consistent, and Christina is definatly consistent. She also takes risks, both in her style and in music. I don't know of any other singer out there today that could have made a pop/blues/jazz confection of an album like she did, and pull it off. Style wise she has created a world, created a look. She drips and oozes of Hollywood Glamor every moment of the day. Not since madonna have i seen a star who takes on the look of an album. She truely embraced a vision. I love the photos in this months In Style, everything from the floppy fedora to the roses and feathered boa, everything is so awesome. i like looking at this stuff because it makes me want to dress up and take my picture, it lights a fire inside me and excites me to create something. Way to go Christina, i can't wait to see the look you bring us next.

Purple Haze

so i am very much invested in the idea of a signature color, and look. i think it's important. You can always stray from it, and should, but it's nice to have in the back of your mind. I have had a signature color since i was 15. it has always been Tiffany's Blue. It flatters me more then any color i've ever worn. i even painted my living room that color. But as of late i have been going through this weird purple phase. I wear purple at least three times a week. i bought two purple t-shirts, a purple tank, a purple and black cardigan, and purple bomber jacket. That is a lot of purple. It's weird because i've never liked purple, i've always considered it a girls color. Which is also weird, and a little sad. I never thought i would be one of those stereo types, who feels there are "boys" colors and "girls" colors... but i seriously have that concept embedded in me. I hate pink, i hate the way it looks on me, and i think that's sad, it's a color, which i'm actually told i look great in (probably my Ken doll esque features) but i hate it. I didn't realize it till i was shopping, and i saw a purple shirt, and i was like "that's a nice color, but i could never wear it". That's when it dawned on me, why couldn't i wear it. what is stopping me from buying a purple shirt. I realized it was society, and so with that realization, i bought that purple shirt, and i wore it, and i looked great. I have never gotten so many compliments. So i bought more purple, and now i am addicted. It's like a whole new world has opened itself up to me. I now find myself surrounded by purple. I like it. I don't think i will ever really be able to stray from my signiture Tiffany's blue, but i now have the confidence to wear something else, i now feel like i can wear something i was scared of, and look great.

National Underwear Day

So today was National Underwear Day! now those who know anything about me, know i love underwear.... not in a creepy-stalker-steal-you-underwear kinda way, but in a i-love-knowing-everything-including-my-chonies-looks-good kinda way. So today had Kirk Day written all over it. Not only did i get to wear fancy under-roos, and get free ones (blue bandanna ginch gonch low rise briefs, because i know it was killing you not knowing!) I also got to see two of my favorite guys in the whole world. The Ginch Gonch boys, Ben Bradley and Ethan Reynolds. These guys are probably the two most hardworking guys i know, both have blogs, which are continually letting you know what ridiculous and amazing ventures they are embarking on. My favorite part about all of it though, they are the sweetest most genuine guys in the world. I have been following ethan's blog (www.bratsboyschool.com) for about two years now, and have talked back and forth with him on myspace every now and then, both took of them took about 20 mins out of there time to talk with me. I hope to someday get to work with them on a grander scale. These boys are gonna be everywhere in a while, there are some people that you see, and you talk to, and you know they are ment for big things, these guys are ment for HUGE things.

Ben Bradley, Me, and Ethan Reynolds

All in all, National Underwear Day is my favorite holiday, other then Christmas and St. Pats. If you didn't celebrate this year, find a way and celebrate next year.

Weekend Recap of the madness :)

Friday night: Acid Disko at Lucky Cheng's. This is seriously one of my favorite clubs, if you haven't been to Acid Disko yet please check it out. I spent the night sipping (and by sipping i mean gracefully guzzling) vodka and red bulls, with my good friend Tommy, and Lusty J. We were joined by Lusty's roomate josh (who is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!) and his adorable boyfriend Eric (also a fast favorite of mine.) It was ridiculously crowded this friday, partially because of the monsoon, and partially because it's an amazing party. all and all it was a grand night.

Sunday night: Hot Mess. Ok, i'm gonna say this again, if you haven't been to Hot Mess, get there. It is seriously awesome. I got there at about 12:30, and it was in high gear. I danced the night away with Tommy, Joey, Lusty, Jamin, Ben Andrews, and Paul. It is always great to see Epiphany, who truely turns it out. She is so beautifull on the inside as well as on the outside. This sunday all the gogo's wore sailor hats, and Epiphany was decked out in military garb. I don't know why but everyone seemed to be in a licking mood.

From me licking Jamin ( i thought he was gonna unhinge his jaw and swallow me!) to Ben licking my face (ruining any chance of me looking good in a picture). It was just one of those days. I am a little glad i went out, i was feeling a little yuck, but i braved it put my contacts on, and slapped on some eye make up, and walked out the door. My eyes looked like crap. i looked so coked out. But i didn't have time, and it was to late to turn around, so i went, i have never gotten more compliments on my make up, Everyone loved it, apparently purple makes my eyes pop. I rolled into bed around three and woke up at like 2 the next day, i love having mondays off of work!

D-I-L-F

So first off i would like to say i have baby fever. I want a baby so badly. i love children. I've always wanted to have kids, I've always known that i want a family, even if I am a single parent, I still want to raise a baby. My friend Candice has said she thinks that's why I am so boy crazy, because my body is trying to make a baby. Which makes sense to me. I really want one though. Sometimes when i am out shopping i see cute baby things, and i buy them. I have a box of stuff for the baby i don't have yet... I realize how lame that is, but some of the stuff is really cool, and what if they don't have it by the time i have a baby who needs them. Anyways, today at my work, there was this guy in his early thirties, and he was the most gorgeous Doctor i have ever seen, like eat your heart out McDreamy. to top it all off though, he had his two year old son in one of those swedish baby carriers that you wear in the front. He would talk to his son and shake a little to calm him down, he was soooooo cute. When i was helping him to he would say if its not enough trouble and then flash this gorgeous grin..... mmmmmmmm cute doctor dads. I would like one of those too. I want a baby and a cute doctor in his early thirties so we can be hot DILFs. Thats the new plan, so if there are any thirty-something professionals who want to be a dad, get to the front of the line. in honor of Hot Dads everywhere, especially my sexy doctor friend where ever he may be, i've posted a few of my fav celebrity dad pictures. Thank you for making parenthood sexy

Show us your Ginches

So the Ginch Gonch boys, Ethan Reynolds and Ben Bradley, are finally making their way to New York! They will be here on August 7th for National Underwear Day, in Times Square. I am so excited to get to see them, i know i will be in TS proudly wearing my Ginch Gonch, will you? The real question is how could you not, apparently national Underwear day is a pretty big thing sponsered by tons of underwear companys like Ginch Gonch, 2xist, Calvin Kline. There will also be hot underwear models, and give aways. Please Check out Ethan's blog www.bratsboyschool.com for more information, also just check it out, he is truely an amazing fellow, who has alot to give the world. also check out Ginch Gonch. Their underwear is totaly fun, and a bit pricey, but it looks great, and feels great.

I hope to see everyone on August 7th in Their Ginches!

I Know Who Killed Me

So i am probably the biggest chicken in the world when it comes to scary movies. They don't even need to be all that scary even, they will scare me. I went and saw "I Know Who Killed me" last week with my friend Chealsea. The movie was really good. Miss Lohan really pulled through and delivered a pretty good performance. The script could have been a little more developed, there were definatly things that i wanted to be further explained, and a little more clear. On the other hand there were things that were to obvious. Over all though, i truely enjoyed it. I think my favorite thing about the movie though had to be watching LiLo on the strip pole on and off for at least a good 20 minutes of the film, i felt like it was when in doubt show Lindsay on the pole in her panties, and that worked for me. The gore was appropriatly good, i was defiantly grossed out. There were also definatly funny moments, like the two hookers looking over lindsay's body, or her the mom hearing the Lindsay and her boyfriend having sex, that was probably the funniest sequence i've seen in a while. If Lindsay wants to show she's up for more mature roles, she defiantly isn't wasting anytime, this role was very dark, and let her curse like a sailor, pole dance in her nothings, smoke before and after sex, and she got to cause people bodily harm. I seriously think Chelsea and i were the worst people to go see that movie together, i was terrified, curled into a little ball hiding behind my cotton, and chelsea was like into my shoulder. I am glad no one else was with us or saw us, I'm sure we were a ridiculous sight. We were both like is it over, and i'd be unsure because the music was still scary. The score was amazing, i love scary movie scores, they are sooooo amazing. I'm contimplating buying the score.

Over all the movie was great if you have a chance check it out. Lindsay needs all the box office support she can get, so show the girl some love.

DVB

So i have decided that when i grow up... i want to be Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckhem. I mean honestly who wouldn't want to be her. She's thin, she's beautifull, she's married to David Beckhem, she's stylish, she was a spice girl, she's British, she's married to David Beckhem (who is mentioned twice because he's worth it!) But seriously, she and her husband have the most amazing style. Her denim line for Rock and Republic is intense, rumor has it that there is going to be a men's line coming out soon, she also has hand bags that are sold in japan. VB was always my favorite Spice Girl (aside from Ginger, but thats like apples and oranges practically) there was just something about that fantastic pout, and slender frame, that commanded my utmost attention. Her solo album all though not exactly chart topping was satisfying. I watched her reality special, soooo good. Some people said it made her seem unapproachable, to me it made her seem marvelous. But above all what i am most jealous of (other then her marriage) is her hair, the asymetrical bob she is sporting rocks my world. i seriously want my hair to look like that, it's to short right now, but im gonna grow it like that, it's gonna be off the hook, for reals. if you need anymore convincing feel free to check out these pictures from W magazine, this spread was hot,
