L spotted shopping at american apparel buying leggings xoxo gossip girl

so Lindsay Lohan came into my work today, and spent like 280 dollars, she bought a ton of leggings, and a raglan pull over, we just got in a new color. I totally helped her, and she was soooo sweet, and nice, she called me hun (which i'm sure she calls everyone but it still made my heart swell.) there were like 4 paparazzis out side, and i felt bad. she was like i don't even know how they found me, i came in from long island. i think it's really sad. She is also way beautifull. i answered a bunch of questions about our leggings too, it was really excited.

keep on the look out if i'm in a picture, i am seriously gonna flip a gasket

the Worste Pies in London

So me and Jer went to see Sweeney Todd tonight. I must say i thoroughly enjoyed it. While none of the voices are extrodinary (Laura Michelle Kelly is extremely under used, but amazing as the Begger Woman) all the voices are quite good. The cinematography is amazing, and the orchestrations are really quite good, but it is Sondhiem, it be a tragedy if the music wasn't amazing. while the script has been wittled down to the bare neccesities, it is still a great script. i actually enjoyed the cuts quite a bit, because they turn the focus to Sweeney and Lovett. Mr. Depp did a supurb job as always, he really is one of my favorite actors. Helena Bonham Carter, is quite entertaining as Mrs. Lovett. Her singing was actually much better then i expected. The only gripe i had with it at all is the i felt like she wasn't nutters enough, i felt she lacked the craziness that is needed to kill people, and grind them into pies. I also felt that the manipulation between her and Sweeney was not as strong, which then softens the creepiness when He kills her in the end. I wanted Mrs. Lovett to be a bit more diabolical. But over all Sweeney Todd was fantastic, and i will probably see it at least two more times.

Wtf mate how the tables have turned

so two new music video's came out in the last week. Brit Bit brought us the video for piece of me, which wasn't a fan competition piece like it was rumored (thank god!) and Ashlee Simpson brought us "out of my head" the new single from her album due in march. all i can say about Ashlee "the prettier" Simpson's new video is.... wtf mate when did she become interesting.

in conclusion maybe Brit should date Pete Wentz because he seems to be working miracles

A spotted by J & K at crate and barrel, why all alone A xoxo gossip girl

so yesterday while me and jer were out shopping, we go to crate and barrel. and are looking at ornaments, and i'm kinda wandering around, and i walk over to jeremy to see what he is looking at, and i look up and he is standing right next to Anne Hathaway! i try to very discretely inform him that he is next to Anne Hathaway, he finally understands what i am trying to say, as she is walking away. As soon as Anne is out of ear shot i looked at him in total disbelief. i flipped out alitte, i was like YOU WERE STANDING NEXT TO ANNE HATHAWAY!!!!!!! he was like really she bumped into me but because i didn't have my glasses i couldn't even tell who she was... i was sooo completely shocked! Then to make it even worse, like 5 mins later, i was like i still can not believe anne hathaway bumped into you and you didnt even know who she was! Hopeless! and she walked right past me and i didn't see... Anne Hathaway probably thinks we are crazies!

up where they walk

so i saw Little Mermaid on wensday night. As i've already stated in the previous entry, i loved the show. over all it was a great production, it had good staging, and brought a lot of new levels to a classic story. The changes that they made in the adaptation for the stage worked very well. for the new stage production Ursula (played by Sheri Rene Scott) is Tridents sister, who was banished for her use of black magic. While i'm not sure how a merman, and a squid woman came from the same family, i'm not really gonna press that detail, because what it does for the plot is give a strong reason for Ursula's hatred and resentment, it also ties it in to the rest of the shows message, which is about family, and the relationship between fathers and daughters, the duty of a child to a parent, and the the love and anguish that comes when a family is hurting. While i will admit i wish they would have developed the relationship between Ursula and Tritan even more, it was a great layer to add. Another thing they added was the singing contest, at the end of the show. There is no Vanessa, no wedding disrupted, no Eric entranced. While i admit, its not as exciting as the ending in the film. It is more touching, because while Ariel has lost her voice, she has not lost her emotions, or her feelings, and she dances for eric, because as eric tells her in the new song one step closer, "dancing is a language that is sung instead of heard." By stripping the end down and making eric realize his love by that simple moment. it makes the story alot more heartfelt and intimate. Heartfelt and intimate is a pretty solid description of the entire show. While it is a huge broadway musical and there is plenty of spectacle, some of the strongest moments for me were when it was just real people living out real circumstances. sierra Boggess, who plays Ariel, is brilliant. Every move, every phrase, every smile, every note is perfect. She is Ariel. She absoloutly blows "part of your world" ( a song that formerly had "the property of Jodi Benson" stamped all over it) out of the water. I've never seen someone captivate an entire audience like that. In the second act of the show, when she rarely speaks, she is still clearly the star of the show. When tap dancing with Scuttle in the fun musical number "Positoovity" she is hysterical, and still manages to be quite touching. with eric in the castle seeing all new things for the first time, she is so endearing. Sean Palmer is Eric to the t, he earned the new music they added for him, and uses it well. Sheri rene Scott did an amazing job with a very hard part, there is a fine line in a Disney musical where you can become to campy and she definatly did a good job of not crossing it to often. Some of the time it felt like she was playing a charachter, but she also has a wig that looks like cotten candy, and and octopus dress on. The only thing that didnt sit right with me was Sebastion. i hated his costume, it was hard to move in, and didnt fit the rest of the look of the show, nor did it look like a crab. He was buried under that calypso accent, and never really flourished into anything good. The songs they added to the show were great. they all fit together. the songs added for ariel gave her so much depth and growth, she became very multie facited. The set was gorgeous, ever flowing and evolving, the only time i felt like i wanted more was during part of your world, it felt to contined, i wanted her to be surrounded by the human world. and i was extremley dissapointed with "under the sea" it visually lacked. Over all the show did a fantastic job. they really took a classic and made a solid faithfull adaptation of it.

Please if you get the chance check it out.

I wanna be where the people are.

so i saw the show last night, and god bless you tube, i can share a small piece of it with you. i loved the entire show. my favorite part by far, was the reprise to part of your world, its the first time Sierra Boggess really lets rip, and shows how talented she really is (and she is really really talented)

this will probably get erased from youtube so enjoy it while it's here. im still crafting an over all review of the show, but i did love it.

the hardest part of falling in love is taking the first step

one day till little mermaid... i am soooo flippin excited, i will let everyone know my opinions in detail on thursday.

Headlines

The spice girls are totally back. their new single "Headlines" was released last week, all the girls wrote it, but Emma bunton and Geri Halliwell were the main writers, with the other girls adding in ideas to the song. The song sounds like a classic Spice Girls hit. The girls all sound amazing, i love the Mel C part, her voice has always been really strong. Some jokes have been made about how little Victoria sings on the album. She has a total of four lines. but honestly we all know she's not the strongest singer, just let her enjoy being more then a mannaquin for once. the new video is awesome, i love it. I'd also like you to notice how hott Geri's abs look.... oh my god... it's abs like that that make me want to work out :)

Oh Craigslist

Last night i had the pleasure of seeing Jeffrey Self's one man show "My Life on the craigslist." It was hysterical. The entire show had me laughing Jeff is quite a talented young fella, who i am sure is going to be bringing us a lot more. His humor is rather dry, and the performance was effortless, which is good in comedy. most actors work soooo hard for comedy, and comedy is something i feel that you find from within, it's an instinct, and sometimes its wrong, but its hard to plan it out step by step. you have to feel an audience out, and jeffery self knows how to do just that. The show is inspired by his visits to the men seeking men section of craigslist, and all the missteps along the way to finding the perfect guy. He's definatly got a hook, and while the piece was perfect or totally polished, he is an awesome story teller, and i feel that the more stories he tells, and the more ideas he shares, and the more concepts we see from him, the better they will get.

not that i can really say anything, since i haven't finished or polished any of my scripts (note to self do that NOW!)

Miss American Dream since I was 17

well tuesday october 30th came and went, and while critics and tabloids have laughed all summer long at her antics the only one left laughing was Ms. Britney Spears... why you might ask? because it's Britney, bitch, and she did it again. Now i understand fully in her personal life, she's a train wreck, but musically Britt is stronger then ever. While i do hope she gets her sh*t in gear, i don't care, as long as she puts out a great dance hit, her personal life is none of my buisness, nor does her personal life effect her music. People need to grow up, and move on, as an entertainer Britney is at her finest, every track on the album is a smash hit dance single. Actually there isn't a single ballad on the album, if only Britt could teach Lindsay Lohan how to make an album we'd be set. my favorite is "Piece of me"britney practically tells the media to go F*ck themself, and heavily breathes her way through a dance hit. She turns all the tabloid talk into pure musical genius. "Radar" is also a great song, i've allready heard it at several clubs. while her voice has been completely digitally enhanced, it's still a bomb ass dance hit. "ooh ooh Baby" is also classic britney, great beat, catchy words, sexual innuendo all over it. "I've got a Plan" is probably the weakest song on the album, something about it just doesn't flow for me. It's still a descent dance song, just not a hit. The first half of the album is solid dance hit gold, the second half still keeps you dancing, but its nothing ground breaking. This entire album is a new page for Britt, i hope she can finish writing the newest chapter she's started. i haven't been able to turn the album off. i also enjoyed several of the songs that didnt make it but were leaked on you tube. if you get the chance check out Baby Boy, State of Grace, and Let Go. all three are ballads and they don't make me want to throw up, not even a little.

go buy Blackout, its worth the nine bucks on i tunes.

Halloween American Apparel style!

So as most know i recently took over for visuals at my store, i still have a guy who is helping me while i lear nthe ropes, but i do all the display stuff on my own. it's more paper work help than anything else. On tuesday i did the halloween displays, i chose to do super hero's because i am that nerdy. You would seriously be amazed at how many people come in and want to make a super hero costume in our store. I've had people ask me to help them do incredibles, fantastic four, wonder woman, catwoman (i've done three different versions!) batgirl, poison ivy. it's kinda cray. so we did a super hero display.

UnBraided

Next up for Disney is a throw back to my childhood, Disney is getting back to it's roots and doing a classic fairy tale. Rapunzel (originally titled Rapunzel: Unbraided although the second part of the title has been taken off of imbd) is set to come out in 2009, it will be Disney's first film inspired by a European fairy tale in 18 years ( the last being 1991's Beauty and the Beast.) the film is said to star Kristin Chennoweth, as the title role, although nothing has been confirmed. The movie's visual style will be based on the painting "The Swing", by the French Rococo artist Jean-Honore Fragonar. director Glen Keane chose this, because he wanted this to be an animated film that looked and felt like a traditional hand-drawn Disney Classic, just in 3D. Originally, the film's plot revolved around two 'romantically challenged', real-world teenagers who are transformed into Rapunzel and her Prince by a disgruntled witch who can no longer stand happy fairy-tale endings. However, since production was halted in 2004 for major retooling, Director, Glen Keane has promised that the film will revert back to the fairy tale's "literary origins." Hopefully that means the tired plot of two 'romantically challenged, real-world teenagers' that in all honesty sounds more Shrek then Disney will be scrapped. Keane has stated he wants to create a classic film, and that he is going back to Rapunzel’s literary origins to do a traditional, character-driven fairy tale that speaks to a modern audience. “It’s a story of the need for each person to become who they are supposed to be and for a parent to set them free so they can become that. It will be a musical and a comedy and have a lot of heart and sincerity. I think that’s what Disney needs to do right now. No one else can do it. We should not be embarrassed or making excuses for doing a fairy tale." I am so excited about this, i grew up with the classic Disney films, Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, those were amazing films, that i watch and still conect with. Even though some of the newer films are good too, it seems like "Shrek" humor is taking over, and as funny as Shrek was, it's no Little Mermaid. I miss animated movies that had big song and dance numbers, and charachters that you fell in love with. I feel like as fun as all the cgi films are, and as much as i enjoy them, they are more made for adults, then children. Some of the jokes in Shrek go right over the heads of kids i baby sit, and that's not what those films are supposed to be about. I am glad that Disney is taking the innitative, and going back to what made it so amazing and magical. i hope that with the release of Rapunzel, and the Princess and the Frog (a jazzy retelling of the Frog Princess set in New Orleans, starring Anika Noni Rose.) Disney goes back to it's roots, and revieves the fairytale for a generation that seems to be surrounded by fart jokes, and only laughs when they are making fun of someone else.

Blackout

Britney Spears' comeback album is going to be called "Blackout" . Jive Records Representitive says it, "refers to blocking out negativity and embracing life fully. Spears' highly anticipated comeback album will now be released two weeks earlier than expected, on Oct. 30. The pop star's label made the announced Wednesday, citing Internet leaks as the reason for the move.

"Due to these numerous unauthorized online leaks, the label is doing everything possible to prevent and avoid any further illegal distribution of songs including moving up the release date of the album to Oct. 30," a label rep replied in a statement.
The label acknowledged that finished songs, as well as unfinished material and demos, had made their way online. For weeks, Britney tracks have been popping up online everywhere from PerezHilton.com to YouTube. though a list of tracks has still not been given, and it's still pretty unclear which versions were the final tracks. Fans have been going crazy for the leaked material, and Britney's single "Gimme More" was number one on itunes.

I am so excited for this album, i can honestly say i am a Britney fan. Her music always makes me dance, and it gets stuck in my head. She has had a really shitty year, and i hope for her sake, this album is the comeback everyone hopes it will be. I know i am gonna support her and be there for my gurl

Work it out!

ok so this totally works for me. i look at this picture, and i am sooooo excited. the ship and the set, and Ariel all look amazing. When i've read some f the articles, reviewing the show, i really didn't understand what they we're doing. it was very hard to get it, and i don't think there really is an easy way to describe a show like this. But finally getting to see it. it brings a whole new perspective to what they are doing with the mermaids, and the set while being simple, looks awesome. i still can't get over how it looks like she is actually swimming.

I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!

Whose your Prince.

this is my Halloween costume this year. I am really excited, i am gonna change somethings and add some things... but i'm using this as my base...

i'm pretty excited. i know it's gonna be brill.

you say alter ego... I say crazy...

"You will know when Vicky is in the room!" Ashlee Simpson laughs during a Saturday sneak peek of select tracks from her forthcoming, yet-untitled album, due in November (honestly thats like next month pick a name all ready). Ashlee Simpson is bringing us a new sound, a new sound and persona, in the form of Vicky Valentine. Alot of performers use alter egos as a way to break loose, and let out a darker side. Beyonce says "Sasha" comes out when she gets on stage and lets it rip. Mariah Carey blamed her last album on the fact that she let "Mimi" out to play (honestly as long as i don't have to hear about her hello kitty obsession she can let any one of her multiple personalities out to play!) Even Britney Spears went by "Mona Lisa" for a while, and listed her name in the producing credits of one of her videos. What i want to know is why can't you do it. Why can't you just be wild, or just let it rip on stage, why does it have to become about somebody else. But hopefully this new personality will make A-simp a better record. Her new album is said to be something totally different then anything she's done before. "This is really fun for me," Ashlee says. "I've always done guitar-based songs, and seeing what we can do with beats is so amazing." She has said that several of the songs are "Ashlee" songs, while several are "Vicky" songs. Her song "Rulebreaker" is a Vicky song: "I like to break rules, get tattoos, scratch things. ... I'm a black sheep." Ashlee says, "She's tough. You don't want to mess with her."

Apparently, Ashlee feels like she's been messed with enough as it is: "I just have too many voices in my head, everyone having their own opinion. And while I have a sweet side, a soft side, sometimes you just want to kick some ass, too." And so on this next album she's letting Vicky Valentine kick some ass, honestly somebody had to do it, and lord knows it wasn't gonna be A-simp, all she can do is steal your boyfriend, and make you wanna la la... I'm so scared right now... Sorry Ashlee but until you prove it, i'm gonna assume your still a lame pop star, who wishes she wasn't.

Class and Style!

So this middle aged fag hag and her 'mo (and by middle aged i mean she was pushing a thousand) came into my store at like 11:45. This pair was kinda tragic (and by kinda i mean horribly disgustingly tragic) She was not a centimeter over 5'2" and she was in these huge platform drag queen esque heels. She was wearing footless tights, and a shear zebra printed drape skirt pulled right underneath her amazingly huge fake tits, which were fantasticly draped in a knit top, showing her bra. To top off her entire ensemble her platinum hair was hidden underneath a huge fake platinum fall that looked like it was bought at one of those party stores for 10 year old girls who want to be a pop star. it had these huge curls, and little tiny braids all wrapped through out it. And if she needed anything else to add her to the top ten best dressed list, she had taken a bottle of colored hairspray, and sprayed pink streaks through out her hair. Class and style my friends, class and style. So she and her big ole queen, came in and were buying everything in our neon line. I had brought my i-pod in today and so we were listening to my music, and for the last 10 or so minutes we had been listening to Fergie. One of my co-workers had asked to put on "Big Girls Don't Cry" which i lover, so we did. I happened to make the comment that as awesome as this song is, it includes the worst lyric in music history (I'm not gonna miss you like a child misses a blanket) and we were all kinda debating it and i was making jokes, when Ms. Classy-pants turns around and goes "excuse me, what are you saying!" i ignore her "this is a beautifull song" i reply a beautiful song with a shitty lyric. She continues to roll her head and shake her finger in disbelief, i continue to ignore her tacky ass. She finally goes back to her mo. At the end of the song Fergie gets ready to give us that gorgeous piece of musical history, because we needed to hear it one last time (apparently 6 wasn't enough!) the song ended, and our King and Queen of the Worst Dressed list are getting ready to leave. Before leaving though, the women turns to me and asks me my name, i say my name is Kirk. She then says "well Kirk, that is a beautifull song, and you need to get over yourself.. okay." and i replied with "i will not get over myself, because it is a beautifull song WITH A SHITTY LYRIC!!!!"

and we are telling you we're not going...

this is brilliance... i miss you Whitney, why did we have to lose you to drugs and Bobby Brown

Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd

honestly i think i had one. this is probably easily my favorite movie of the year and its not even out yet. Visually this movie is stunning. Johnny Depp is perfect, and while i have yet to here Helena Bonham Carter sing, she is winning me over very quickly. Tim burton continually wins over my heart with his creepy twisted worlds. I seriously think im gonna see this movie like a zillion times.

even as a murdering blood thirsty barber with a skunk streak, i'd still make babies with Mr. Depp

Super Sassy

so we are most definatly two episodes in to season 7 of Smallville, and i am so excited. Kara (Supergirl) is so sassy i love it. within the first 5 mins of episode two she knocked Loise Lane unconsciouse when she caught her snooping, and her reply was thats what you get for messing with my things. So hot. I can tell she is allready my favorite charachter. Trust me they are soooo primed for a spin off i can smell it. i also love the way they made her look, she is in primary colors, like clark, but they look very similiar to her costume in the comic serious. which i love. I also think its awesome that her hair always manages to be spiral curled... oh CW you never let me down.

She lost her kids, but her video rocks!

So this week Britney lost her kids, and the papers were labeling her Unfit-ney Spears. Pictures of her sobbing, and looking like a shitty mess were on the front of every paper, alongside pictures of Britt in her hey day. But yesterday Britney finally released the highly anticipated video to her new single "Gimme More". Much like her performance at the VMA's Britt's video was said to be provacative and racy. We all know how i felt about the VMAs, that was kinda laughable, and let us bring back all those tired "Oops" jokes. Unlike the VMAs though i enjoyed the new video. In my opinion the video is pretty good, it has the energy that was missing from the VMAs. Normally her videos are a bit more theatrical, and have alittle more choreography. But this video is a good start at showing us Britney still has a little fight in her. I am still waiting for november thirteenth to roll around so i can go to my Best Buy and get my copy.

and honestly it's not over yet, it's not like she's on Dancing With the Stars (but if she was she would soooo win that shit!)

Slam it to the LEFT!!!

So unless you've been living under a pop culture rock for the last decade, then you know of the british invasion that was the Spice Girls. Ginger, Posh, Scary, Sporty, and Baby. Five girls who swept the world with there messages of girl power, platforms and bubble gum pop. They were on the verge taking over the musical world, when Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell left the group. the girls popularity fizzled out, and they tried to do solo careers (rather unsuccessfully, although Mel C. had some kick ass songs, and Geri is like the uk Kylie) But now after years of waiting they are coming back with a world tour, and a greatest hits album. I am going to be going to the LA concert! I am kinda over th moon right now. For the last two days i've been slammin it to the left, and ziggah zig ahhing to my hearts content. I remember my childhood, and i think of the Spice Girls. They were my youth. I used to listen to their cd like it was my job. Ginger and Posh were always my favorite, and we all know how i feel about Posh now (giggles) This concert means sooo much to me, not only will i be experiencing it with two of my oldest dearest and bestest friends, but it is my first concert ever! This is so momentous and special, and i am absoloutly thrilled! I can't wait to see the concert, i also plan on buying out the merchandise booth... i am going to rock out my Spice Girls gear. I might even design special shirts just for it... who knows!!!

That's my Gurl

So Britney Spear's single "Gimme More" is number 1 on the i tunes charts!

Suck on that Sarah Silverman! cuz it's Britney Bitch!

Sex in the City!

Sex and the City has finally started filming! Sarah Jessica Parker has always been one of my biggest inspirations, in fashion, as well as an actor, and celebrity. Carrie will always be my fav SJP role. She just lives in that charachter so well. Sex and the city was such an awesome show, it showed such an awesome side of NYC, and of fashion. This film is gonna be a fashion-gasm for every person out there who loves clothes. Heatherette (who designed the infamous "Carrie" t-shirt) will be designing several of the costumes for the film. Seriously the teaser pictures have me wet with anticipation. I'm so glad they solved what ever it was delaying this and are finally bringing us the fashion film of the decade.

Fugly People with Problems or the show formerly known as Gossip Girl

So i have now watched to episodes of the CW's new hit show Gossip Girl, and i for one am speechless,i thought that the CW was known for beautifull people with problems (no like seriously, it was in there ad campaign last year.) Gossip girls cast while for the most part is young and slightly attractive, is pretty fugly in comparison to shows like Dawson's Creek, Felicity, One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, and Smallville. The cast of young up and comers (Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Taylor Momsen, Nan Zhang) looked so good on paper (literally those promo shots made my mouth water in anticipation of the beautiful teen angst that was headed my way) but on screen they look rather average, and even a little blah. While the plot is not amazing, i suspect it will grow into the teen drama i've grown to love and adore. the acting is not great, as an actor i was dying over the complete lack of physical life, and how awkward they looked on screen. I would also like to point out that they are said to be upper east side sociallites, but nothing they've shown is on the upper east side. i live on the upper east side! they keep showing places in Brooklyn, come on people try to hide it at least a little bit. As cheesy as it is though, i do love the blogger "gossip girl's" narration... it is pretty brilliant (and by brilliant i mean so horribly cheesy it makes me excited to hear the next gut-busting line of brilliance). Also in the first episode main charachter Serena drinks martini's at the hotel bar, even though they have clearly said she is underage, i believe 17 or 18. but they covered it up with a crack about serving minors, i was like good form CW. All and all the show is completely dreadfull. it had aspirations of being a "Cruel Intentions" meets "90210" at a dive bar and they have a threesome with "Sex and the City" type drama, which it still could rise out of the ashes and become, but i'm alittle wary...

don't get me wrong, im soooo watching it every week. It's my new guilty pleasure.

Bazaar Gardens

So sometimes i wonder what people are thinking when they decide to do a photo spread. Like Mary Kate Olsen in this monthes Bazaar. The six page spread of good ole' Mk was supposed to pay homage to the Edie Beale, and her daughter "lil" Edie, of Grey Gardens. Now the Beales were nutters, can anyone else see the downward spiral this photo spread is headed. Now i have to start off by saying that MK was my favorite Olsen, granted her bag lady chic style was a little to much for me, but god bless her for trying. She was so fashion forward and dared to be different. And she had finally started to grow out of it. She was wearing all these classy vintage pieces that seemed to be straight out of the 40's glamour i adore. She dyed her hair platinum and was rocking it (if you asked me). She even looked like she had put on a few pounds, i was thrilled. But lately she's been letting me down. She went a little goth, and went back to wearing all those crazy hippy grandma layers. What the heck MK, you don't have to do that, we know the differences between you and Ash. I was so excited when i heard you were going to be on the cover of Bazaar, I almost immediatly snatched it up, waiting to read an intense and amazing interview where you reveal that you are just like everyone else, and you divuldge some of your style secrets. Instead, i got a rather awkward article where i learned that your a little crazy, and love to walk around the house naked with jewelrey on. Swing and a miss Mk. Now even though i'm sure the idea of paying tribute to Grey Gardens on paper might have possibly sounded good, was there anyone around the water cooler who maybe saw a few of the gigantic red flags... even after the shoot happened did no one see how crazy she looked.... i mean honestly, and i fully feel that MK is healthy and everyone needs to back off, and let the girl live... but god damn, her face looked thin (especially with the disgusting red wig they put her in) MK what happened to being in control of how people see you.. for shame...

all though i must admit she wears the most beautifull crown in one of the shots, that almost made that photo spread worth it

Little Tomato

For those of you who see me on a daily or weekly basis, you hav heard me talk about my t-shirt line. Heck if you are my friend on myspace, or if we im, you've heard me talk about it. I have been working on it for almost two years now, trying to get it just right, get the right feel, the right style. I have finally found it, and i plan on sharing it with everyone as fast i can. The two images i am sharing today, are gonna be the main logo, one with the company name (Little Tomato) and one with i guess what is our mascot, my very own Little Tomato (he is going to be making several appearences because i kinda am in love with him. there is a picture of him on my fridge - i swear it!)

these were done by a very talented friend of mine, John McGee. He has been helping me out so much in realizing my dream. This is a huge step towards greatness, and more steps are being made as we speak. thank you to everyone who has been suppotive, i hope i don't let anyone down :)

More Unfortunate Souls

So i hate to say this but I found this picture that celebrity blogger Perez Hilton recently posted. The picture was taken by Joan Marcus for Travel & Leisure magazine (October issue).

So while my stomach has not stopped churning completely, this picture does take away a few of the qualms i had with the original image (which was a bit funny, and off colored due to being scanned from a news paper.) this one is alot clearer, and the hair looks alot better, it no longer reminds me of cotton candy from a carnival. I still don't really see Ursula sea witch, but it is a step closer from the spiky alien transvestite they were calling Sherie Rene Scott in costume. the make up in this picture is a huge step up for me though, so unless she is going to put on huge false top lashes and cake her skin in pink, i think we are a step up in the right direction.

p.s. i totally want a little mermaid bathrobe... some one work on that for me :)

HOLLA back

Sell that Cotton

for those that know me, you know how much i love fashion. Not clothes, but fashion. I love finding the perfect pieces, and putting things together in a way that people hadn't thought of before. I don't get a thrill from finding one article of clothing, but finding the one perfect garmet that completes an outfit. i calculate everything i wear, and i am always looking for my next great find, my next great look. Well i just found out yesterday that i am going to be doing merchandising for American Apparel. I am so excited. I will be dressing the window displays, and mannaquins in the store. I will also be in charge of product placement inside the store. I am so excited about this oppurtunity. I love American Apparel, and wear there clothes like it's my job, so to be able to do this for work is going to be such a blast, i already feel like i am going to be learning so much. i will be going through training the next couple weeks, and after october 11th I will be flying solo. Hopefully this will be an exciting developement that will grow into something else.

Smallville: Beautifull People with Problems

so everynight i go to say my prayers, and i wish for the simple things health, happiness, watch over my mom and dad, Zac Efron, and for them to re-make Supergirl the movie. Ok so i am exagerating a little ( i don't pray for happiness) but seriously, the first Supergirl movie was off the hook. The special effects were totally ahead of their time, i'm mean did you see the way they edited those quick changes, and the battle at the end. brilliance personafied. And with Supergirls amazing re-invention as a fiesty animated teen on the wb, followed by her re-introduction into the comic book universe being drawn by genius michael turner (if you don't know his work google that shit, he is fierce!) She is sooo prime for a big budget silver screen film helmed by some awesome director, starring a saucy unknow (or Lindsay Lohan, i mean she needs a good block buster... and i support anything Lindsay is in) Today i found out i'm sorta getting my wish, on Sept 27th the seventh season of Smallville is going to be introducing Clark Kent's (played by the most gorgeous Tom Welling) cousin from Krypton Kara (aka furture Supergirl). she will be played by new comer Laura Vandervoort. I am soooo excited. Tom Welling and Supergirl, it's almost too much for me to handle. The CW has said that Kara will have all the same powers as Clark (plus the ability to fly, which Clark has not yet fully developed) but Kara doesn't feel the need to hide herself, or her powers. THAT IS SO HOT!!! A sexy sassy Kara flying around kansas causing trouble for Clark, and Lex. What more could i ask for. Thank you smallville for answering all my prayers (please tell Zac i am expecting him, and the door is unlocked :P )

Britney, Tyra, and the aftermath

i'm not a huge fan of this, but this was done really really well. i watched it like four times.

Gimme Bore

So apparently the only thing worth while to talk about this week is Britney Spears. Every tabloid in the country is posting stories about her, and what seems like a huge road block on the come back trail. Tabloids have reported that Britney did her own hair for the VMA's using a box of drug store hair dye. Hair dresser to the stars, Ken Paves did come to Vegas to do Britt's hair but left due to differances. Sources are also saying Spears refused to use a stylist, instead costuming herself, hence the lack of costume (which Spears used to be known for) and misshaps with her shoes (the heel was wobbly, and hard to dance on). MTV has stated that Spears only had two rehersals for the performance, while most performers rehearse for weeks. Other sources have said that Britney change the routines several times, because she was so nervous. Alot of people are asking "What happened to the act she was supposed to do with Criss Angel"? Apparently He pulled out because She wouldn't rehearse. Britney was also seen partying all over vegas before the night of the VMAs. What i'm wondering is where is her manager, where is her team that is supposed to be keeping everything together, does she have no one near her that says no. Alot of people are saying this is the end for America's former Pop Princess. I will never call Britney Spears "America's FORMER Pop Princess" She IS America's Pop Princess. No one has taken that title from her. She changed pop music, and became an icon and a sex symbol around the world. Who has come close, Hillary Duff? I don't think so, Duff can barely perform like Britney, and i highly doubt Hill is ever gonna bring us something as contreversial as "Slave 4 U" or "Toxic". Britney Spears has sold over seventy-six million albums worldwide. She has had 6 albums (4 studio albums, 1 greatest hits album, and a remix album) and has 1 coming out on November 13. She has had 7 number one hit singles. Her concerts have sold out all over the world. Her live performances have pushed the envelope almost everytime. Everything she does, from the drinks she drinks, to who does her hair is talked about and documented. She has had one of the most major endorsements of our generation (umm Pepsi anyone, she changed the way advertising was done with those comericals) She has stumbled, and She has fallen, but as a public who once courted her every move, and adored her, who are we to turn our back on her now, when she needs us, and not the other way around. Britney i will be here waiting for you to come back with another hit like "Toxic". Remember one performance isn't a comeback, an album is a comeback, and I know Britney is gonna rock out for us.

Poor Unfortunate Soul

Oh Sherie, what have they done to you.... No wonder Emily Skinner left the show, i would have too. While portions of this costume are totally brill. I have to say i'm a bit scared. The tenticals look a bit odd to me, and i can't imagine how that is going to move onstage. I like to blame my dislike on the hair and and make up on the fact that it's a small picture, and it's a bit fuzzy. i'm trying to find more pictures, because it could easily be the angle or what not... but I fear for Sherie. it almost looks to comical. What made Ursula so awesome was she had the ability to go from comical and funny and saucy to evil genius, and sinister. i don't see how she can do that in that costume.... i do love the main fabric that they used though, that is a pretty awesome texture. i honestly am leaving it open to not make a complete judgement till i see it.

Heatherette

So last night i went to see Logan's Show at Lucky Chengs. as always Logan turns it out, and I am most definatly in love with his brand new blue hair. The night was fun, Lo performed Legally Blonde, but was minus Chandi, so i stepped in for impromptu lip-synching to the gayest broadway musical. It was quite fun. These two women were there celebrating a birthday, and they were amazing. they entertained me the entire night, and also kept telling me that i was the most adorable thing in the entire world. One of them exchangeed numbers with me, she was like you can be my new york gay. It turns out they work right by my work so we are gonna get lunch one day. They also bought me several cocktails! which was amazing.... only in new york can you meet strangers, and become besties and share a cocktail in the span of an hour. After Lucky Chengs, it was off to the Heatherette After Party, at Lotus. I met up with Jamesson (who is in NY being fabulous for fashion week) i love that boy sooo much, I wish we spent more time together but sadly he is in Orlando, and i am in New York. Jenna Jameson looked adorable on stage, i wish i could have seen her on the runway. Lance Bass was there, and i was still sober enough to avoid him so as not to say something stupid, and get myself thrown out. I talked to Ben Andrews for a hot minute, i miss that boy, i haven't seen him in like a month.
I talked to Lusty J for a bit. I honestly felt like i spent 10 minutes with everyone, which sucks, I miss going out all the time, I'm gonna start making time for a nightlife. I spent most of the night with Paul (so much fun) an Phoenix (he is my boy) Me and Paul spent the entire night drinking (for free, which is the only way to do it) and we chatted it up with Amanda Lepore (who is soo sweet) I definaly had too much to drink (4 is my limit, but i totally had like 8 over the course of the evening) but it was free, and sometimes that's how you roll I left when Lotus closed, i was there till like 4 am, i got home at like 5 am, and had to deal with sooo much shit with Pauls cab, but whatever. I finally got to sleep by like 5:30... and I still woke up at 9:50 on the dot.... my internal clock is disgusting some times.

Holla Back to a kick ass night in the city.
